Encyclopedia > Flintstones chewable vitamins

Flintstones Complete Children Vitamin is a supplemental multivitamin for children that still enjoys popularity today. The bottles of pills contain vitamin pills that taste faintly like candy and contain some essential vitamins for children. The vitamins are one of the most successful Flintstones products. They were released with the T.V. show, and advertised along with the show. This practice created an ethics controversy as to whether it was okay to advertise vitamins along with a children's T.V. show. The advertisements were discontinued in 1972 because of the conroversy. Some advertisements have been under heavy rotation without being related to the Flintstones. Their jingle of "Ten thousand strong and growing!" has reached mild fame through the heavy circulation of advertisements. The pills can be found readily on the internet, and in local stores.
