Laharl, the son of the Overlord King Krichevskoy, is the Prince of the Netherworld and heir to the title of Overlord. However, when the King dies, Laharl has just fallen asleep in a two year long nap, and in his absence other ambitious demons begin to fight over the Overlord title. Once awakened by his vassal Etna, Laharl is informed of the situation and begins a military campaign to reclaim the throne. Laharl is only an adolescent demon despite being 1313 years old. Flonne and Etna are likewise mistaken as children by some of the human characters.

This attack is similar to Blazing Knuckle's range, except it has two attack spaces going out instead of one. The attack is the kind that brings you to an area floating in space. Laharl's ultimate attack.
Flonne was sent by Seraph Lamington to the Netherworld to assassinate the Overlord King Krichevskoy, and Arch Angel Vulcanus is unhappy with that. When she bumps into Laharl, Etna and him chase after them, because he assumes she was trying to assassinate him. She joins up to learn if Demons are capable of love or not. Throughout the game, she changes Laharl, and Laharl starts to grow and respect her more. Vulcanus eventually tries to take her life by stealing her pendant, but Vulcanus drops it when it starts to burn him for being too evil. They fight Mid-Boss for it (who is capable of holding it), and Laharl gets it for her. Later in the game, Flonne is accused by Vulcanus of killing a Human.

This is the strongest Special attack in the game. Again, like all other attacks before him, he attacks an enemy one space in front of him. Gordon's ultimate attack.
Flonne had been sent to the Netherworld by Seraph Lamington, the ruler of Celestia, to assassinate King Krichevskoy (who was already dead).
Observing them in secret is the paranoid Archangel Vulcanus, who interprets Flonne's actions as treason and is convinced that she is plotting against him.
Vulcanus goes to Seraph Lamington, declares that Flonne is a traitor who is leading an army of demons in an invasion of Celestia, and goes to lead a group of angels to repel this "invasion".
