Flushing is a city in Genesee County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 8,348 at the 2000 census. Flushing High School Athletics is most noted for its 1 Doubles male tennis team of 1998. The team which consisted of two seniors Bryan May and Brad Travis (known to the tennis world as the crafty veteran). The team went 24-2 on the way to carrying the male tennis team to a 10th place finish in states, its higesht finish ever. Bryan the capt of team received mvp honors along with brad travis. The team was personally responsible for the rebirth of flushing tennis.
