Flux suite of software is consisted of Flux Player and Flux Studio. Flux Player is an VRML/X3D viewer that works both as plugin in Internet Explorer and as standalone program in Windows , while Flux Studio is an VRML/X3D editor that works in Windows. Both programs supports Windows Me/2000 and higher.
Flux Player and Flux Studio are freely downloadable for personal and academic usage and are licensed under the GNU Lesser General Public License (LGPL) for these non-commercial usages, while for commercial usage buying of a license is required.
Flux software is developed by Tony Parisi, that was too main developer of experimental Labyrinth and retail Intervista WorldView, that is by default available on Windows 2000 and Office 2000 CD's. Due to that, Tony Parisi's VRML/X3D line of software can be treated as factual standard software for VRML/X3D, as similarly Internet Explorer and FrontPage are factual standard software for HTML. Flux Studio can import and export VRML/X3D files successfully.
Flux software previously had beta status, but since February 20, 2007 it has RTM/Gold status.
