Flying in a Blue Dream is a 1989 album by instrumental rock solo artist Joe Satriani. It is his third studio album (Dreaming #11 is a live EP). In a break with his earlier work, Satriani recorded vocals for some of the tracks on Flying in a Blue Dream: The title track contains vocals in the style of samples at the start, and tracks 3,5,6,8 and 13 contain complete vocals.
