Flyswatter is the name of the first demo album recorded in 1992 by the group Blink-182. At this time, the band was known simply as "Blink". They were later forced to change their name by an Irish techno band, which also called themselves Blink, who threatened them with a lawsuit. This recording, made in drummer Scott Raynor's bedroom, was done live and involved no mixing or dubbing. Because of these technical limitations, the quality of the album was sub-par. It was released on "Fags In The Wilderness Records", which is actually just a name Tom came up with to stick on the cover. Tom sold copies of the tape during lunch at school. The artwork was done by Mark, who also came up with the name for the demo. Blink-182 themselves say that this demo was of poor quality, and an official re-release is highly unlikely. However, you can find mp3s of this album from websites such as punkdisasters.com blinkpointofview.netand BlinkCentral.com. While it was available, it cost $5 (US).
