The Fogg Art Museum is the oldest of Harvard University's art museums. It covers the history of Western Art from the Middle Ages to the present. It is housed in an Italian Renaissance style building and has been open to the public since 1895, and is open every day apart from national holidays. The Fogg also houses the Straus Center for Conservation, the oldest research center in the United States for the scientific study of works of art.
