The Folio Society, founded in 1947, is based on the fringes of Bloomsbury, London. Great Britain’s leading publisher of fine editions, their current catalogue covers histories from antiquity to modern times, biographies, memoirs, philosophy, poetry, literary classics, fiction, humour and children’s books. All Folio books are illustrated with fine art reproductions, atmospheric photographs or else they carry specially commissioned pictures by contemporary masters of book illustration such as Quentin Blake, Neil Packer and Charles van Sandwyk.
