Fontana Records was a record label active in the United Kingdom and the United States in the 1960s, as a subsiduary of the Dutch Phillips company.

In 1970 Fontana was acquired by Polygram, and subsequently by the Universal conglomerate in 1998, when they swallowed Polygram.

Fontana suffered a significant economic blow in 1983 when Kaiser closed its plant; in the early 1990s, parts of the factory complex were dismantled and shipped to China.
Originally a sleepy, dusty town of citrus orchards and cattle ranches astride Route 66 and numerous rail lines, Fontana was radically transformed during World War II by the construction of a steel mill belonging to the Henry J. Kaiser Company and the routing of the San Bernardino Freeway through a section of the town.
Fontana's principal cultural/entertainment attraction is the California Speedway, a racetrack that plays host to two NASCAR events a year.
