Food addiction is an addiction to consuming an unusually large quantity of food. It usually occurs when a person has significantly enlarged the size of his/her stomach by consuming a large volume of food on a constant basis. Contrary to common belief, food addiction is not particularly harmful unless unhealthy foods or food ingredients are taken in.
