New Features for 2008 Model Year

Starting in 2008, the Edge, Fusion, and selected Ford, Lincoln and Mercury vehicles will feature Ford SYNC system, an in- car communications system that integrates bluetooth phone service, iPod/MP3 integration and storage of music files, all in the existing FMC navigation setup. Moreover, Edge adds twenty inch chromed wheels, power rear lift gate, revised grab handle on the lift gate, and standard tire pressure monitoring system (or TPMS) in the 2008 model year. Also added is an optional Sport Appearance Package, which includes red inserts in seats with red contrast stitching, and unique appliqué on the center stack. Finally, as with other 2008 Ford models, the Navigation system was upgraded to a new one with voice recognition, and the interior "switchgear" was mildly upgraded with chrome accents. Several colors were deleted and others added and the SEL Plus equipment level was renamed Limited.
