Foreign Exchange is a children's television programme broadcast with Radio Telefís Éireann (Ireland's Broadcasting Corporation, RTÉ, and, in Australia, Southern Star Entertainment and Magma Films, with the assistance of Screenwest. It told the story of Hannah O'Flaherty and Brett Miller, a feisty Irish girl, and a sun-drenched Australian boy, who are brought together from opposite sides of the world, due to a portal which allows them to step across the world. The series lasted just one series in 2004, although there has been wide rumours about a second series.

Synopsis

Foreign Exchanged had two major sets, one in Ireland, and the other in Cottesloe, Western Australia. Character Brett Millers family moves into a new home underneath his new step-mother's restaurant, The Indiana Tea House, only to find that when he replaces a rock that has fallen from his bedrooms wall and turns it, a portal opens into the basement level of an Irish boarding school. Here he meets Hannah O'Flaherty, Who is delighted to learn that when she to turns a similar rock on her side, she can escape the gray and winter or Ireland to the sun and summer of Australia. The show revolves around these two characters who are the only two to know and use the portal with the exception of Cormac MacNamara, who attends the same boarding school as Hannah. Cormac knows about the portal, but is too afraid to use it, although in one episode he is forced to cross through. Cottesloe Beach is a premium metropolitan beach in Perth, Western Australia. ...
