History
Forest School originated as Woodley Hills Grammar School in 1957 because a new school was needed to facilitate for the boys in Winnersh. It became a comprehensive school in 1974, when it was renamed Forest School. It has been a Business and Enterprise College (BEC) since 2003 and was appointed by the Specialist Schools and Academies Trust as the "Enterprise Hub School for Berkshire" in 2006. Sport In 2006 The Forest School U15 Football team won the National Cup. In 2007 The Forest School U16 Football team (identical to the Under 15 squad) were runners up in the National Cup, losing narrowly despite dominating the opposition. Proved by their Captain winning Man of the match, David Bellis, ahead of the opposing school's striker, who had scored a hat trick in the same match. There have been a number of highly proffesional sportsmen who have studied at the Forest School, most notably, former Reading and England Under-20 side Nathan Tyson who was at Reading and now is playing at Nottingham Forest. Future sportsmen include Ashley Mitchell, Reading and Liam Abrahams, Great Britain trampolining at U18 level, both student from 2002 onwards.
