Four Kings was a sitcom introduced as a part of NBC's winter 2006 programming but cancelled before the end of the season. It aired at 8:30 on Thursdays, following Will & Grace and preceding My Name Is Earl and The Office. It starred Seth Green, in his first on-camera network show regular role since 2002 (in the short-lived Greg the Bunny). It also stars Josh Cooke, making his return to NBC's primetime lineup after the cancellation of Committed. It also stars newcomers Todd Grinnell and Shane McRae. Four Kings has been yanked off NBC's schedule for the forseeable future. Although there is no official word regarding the cancellation of the program, two of the show's stars have already signed on to new projects. In the Buddhist faith, the Four Heavenly Kings are four guardian gods, each of whom watches over one cardinal direction of the world.
They reside in the Cāturmahārājika heaven (Pāli Cātummahārājika, "Of the Four Great Kings") on the lower slopes of Mount Sumeru, which is the lowest of the six heavens of the Kāmadhātu.
