In Irish mythology, Fragarach, known as 'The Answerer' or 'The Retaliator' was the sword of Manannan mac Lir and Lugh Lamfada. Manannan wielded it as his weapon, before passing it on to Lugh (his foster son). It was said to be a weapon that no armour could stop. The mythology of pre-Christian Ireland did not entirely survive the conversion to Christianity, but much of it was preserved, shorn of its religious meanings, in medieval Irish literature, which represents the most extensive and best preserved of all the branches of Celtic mythology. ... Whereas Fragarach should be a Chaotic weapon decended or celtic myth, I would easily accept it a a lawful weapon when serving the prince.
The argument that Fragarach should be CG based on the fact that the word is drawn from Celtic myth, is a little silly.
Fragarach passed out of history when Thrommel, a once true and rightful paladin, was broken and corrputed by the Scarlet Brotherhood and the fell powers that they relinguished the defeated prince to.
