Frances Annesley (née Lonsdale), Lady Donaldson of Kingsbridge was a writer and biographer. She was born in 1907, and died at the age of 87 in 1994. Her father, Freddie Lonsdale, was a playwright. She married John George Stuart Donaldson, Baron Donaldson of Kingsbridge (known as Jack) in 1935, and is the author of a series of books on farming and of biographies of Evelyn Waugh, Edward VIII and P.
