Franscesco de' Rossi (known by many names, prominently the adopted name Francesco Salviati or as Il Salviati, but also Francesco Rossi and Cecchino del Salviati) was a prominent Mannerist painter of Florence. He was born in Florence in 1510, and died there in 1563. He apprenticed under Bugiardini, Bandinelli, and then Raffaelle Brescianino, and finally Andrea del Sarto in 1529-1530.
