Dr. Frank Field (born 1923) is a well known televison personality and meteorologist who has been on TV for decades. His son is Storm Field who is also a meteorologist for WWOR. Dr. Frank Field fills in for the weekend WWOR-TV newscast if there is an absence. Dr. Frank Field also worked at WNBC-TV in the 1970s and 1980s for 25 years. He was friends with Johnny Carson and was a guest of the Tonight Show several times. Johnny Carson visted Dr. Frank Field in the WNBC-TV studios during the news and was reprimanded for it because of the seriousness of the news back then. On August 12, 1984, Dr. Frank Field joined WCBS-TV, New York. There he worked for a 15 years. Later, he moved over to WNYW-TV.
