Frank Guinta (born September 26, 1970) is the current mayor of Manchester, New Hampshire. A Republican, he defeated three-term incumbent Robert A. Baines, a Democrat, in the November 8, 2005 non-partisan election. He ran with an agenda of lowing taxes, reducing the crime rate in Manchester, and improving the performance of the city’s schools. He also spends time managing rental properties in Manchester and focusing on the interests of Manchester citizens in determining the vision for this great city.


In 2001 Guinta and his wife, Morgan were honored in the first year of The New Hampshire Union Leader's “40 Under Forty” program. Guinta, who represents Ward 3-primarily the downtown area-received the Manchester Police Department's 2001 Ward Crime Report recently and was shocked by what he saw.
Guinta also pointed out that the ward is made up of the inner city and downtown areas, both of which generate more crime than other neighborhoods or areas in Manchester.
Guinta conceded that the city's budget is especially tight this year and that reducing crime in the ward will consist of a grassroots effort.
