The Frankfurt Rhine Main Area, often referred to as Rhine Main Area (German: Rhein-Main Gebiet) or Greater Frankfurt is a Metropolitan Area located in central western Germany, that encompasses parts of three federal states: Hesse, Rhineland-Palatinate and Bavaria. It contains the cities Frankfurt, Wiesbaden, Mainz, and Darmstadt.
