About the Franky Family

Members of the Franky Family.
Members of the Franky Family.

They are the outcasts of Water 7, those whose dream was to work for Iceburg in the Galley-La Corporation, but failed the entry exam to become shipwrights. As a result, they had nowhere else to turn, other than to Franky (who also considers himself something of a failure). Though they do cause some trouble to the citizens of Water 7, they are good at heart. The entire Franky Family are totally inept at saving money for a long period of time and on more than one occasion wasted millions of hard-earned (sometimes stolen) berries for the sake of spending (though their leader isn't exactly a market planner himself). The leader of the Franky Family during Franky's absence, Zambai (ザンバイ, Zanbai) helps the Straw Hat Pirates invade the government-controlled island of Enies Lobby. He, Paulie and a handful of Franky Family members had engadged Three-Headed Baskerville in combat but were eventually subdued and apparently defeated. While attempting to escape the Buster Call, he was hit by cannonfire and thrown into the sea. The giants' protection and some quick rope action by Paulie saved his life. In terms of fighting ability, Zambai seems more competent than most members of the Franky Family in both melee and long range, armed with a bazooka and a pair of katanas. Recently, he was seen begging the Straw Hats to take his boss, Franky with them, saying that now that Franky is a wanted man, the Franky Family did not have the strength to be able to protect him from either bounty hunters and Marine officials. Mozu (モズ, Mozu) and Kiwi (キウィ, Kiwi), also known as the Square Sisters (スクエアシスターズ, Sukuea Shisutāzu) due to their square-like hairstyle, are very loyal to Franky, and go with him everywhere. They have a tendency to mimic his reactions. When CP9 invades their hideout, they are knocked down and out by Kalifa for not letting them in. Later when the Straw Hats chase after the sea train, Puffing Tom, with the Rocketman. Mozu and Kiwi along with the rest of the Franky family, accompany them to the government headquarters, Enies Lobby, as Franky was captured by CP9. Once there they help hold off the naval marines to allow the Straw Hats go on ahead and try to rescue Franky and Nico Robin. They were blown into the Enies Lobby waterfall by cannonfire, but are currently safe thanks to the giants and Paulie. They often walk sideways in high winds due to the fact that they are blown back. It is believed that two girls (along with an adult)who were riding the Puffing Tom on its opening day are them when they were kids due to the long noses and same eyes they have. // Cipher Pol Spoiler warning: In the World Government Organization in the fictional world of One Piece, CP denotes Cipher Police. ... Kairiki Destroyers

The Mighty Destroyers
The Mighty Destroyers

The Kairiki Destroyers (怪力デストロイヤーズ, Kairiki Desutoroiyāzu, kairiki means "superhuman strength") are three gigantic members of the Franky Family. Along with the rest of the Family, they accompanied the Straw Hat Pirates to Enies Lobby to save "aniki" (big brother/gang boss) Franky from CP9. Upon reaching the island, their first task is to force the first of three island gates open, which they do after Mozu and Kiwi pick the lock. When they reach the second gate, however, they are jumped by foes even larger than themselves: the giants Oimo and Kaashii, who quickly knock them out. They, along with Galley-La and the rest of the Franky Family have escaped the Buster Call, and rode the Sea Train Puffing Tom back to Water 7. Sodom and Gomorrah

Sodom and Gomorrah
Sodom and Gomorrah

Sodom (ソドム, Sodomu) and Gomorrah (ゴモラ, Gomora) are the two gigantic King Bulls (sea horses in the most literal sense) owned by the Franky Family, which take them to Enies Lobby. Once there, the Franky Family and Straw Hat Pirates use them navigate their way through the island and past any Naval or Government forces that try to stop them. Unfortunately, Sodom is felled by a mortar shell (but tearfully begs the others, through Chopper's interpretation, to go on without him), and Gomorrah is taken down soon afterward by cannon fire. However Gomorrah, fueled by memories of Franky taking him and Sodom in and looking out for the two, manages to summon up his last ounce of strength and crashes through the Enies Lobby courthouse's courtyard before finally passing out from the pain. Without their assistance, the Franky family managed to make it as far as Enies Lobby's courthouse before being tied up by the Navy. The two were scooped up by Oimo and Kaashii and joined the Straw Hat Pirates allies' rush to escape and were loaded onto the Puffing Tom and brought back to Water 7. Two days after the destruction of Enies Lobby, they are now back on their feet and well enough to join the Straw Hat Pirates' victory party. According to Chopper's translations, they were found by the Franky family in the stomach of a Sea King (sea monster) they were eating, and they were too full to eat the sea bulls too.

Part in Story

During the starting chapters of the Water 7 arc, they first encounter the Straw Hat Pirates, and beat up Usopp in order to steal the money he was carrying for Nami and Luffy. Usopp pursues the Franky Family and confronts them for the money, only to be severely beaten once more. When Luffy finds out it was the Franky Family who committed the act, he, Zoro, Sanji and Chopper single-handedly defeat the entire group (except for Franky and the Square Sisters, who were off the island), and destroy the Franky House, their hideout. Clamouring for revenge, Franky would attempt to get revenge on Luffy, only for the three-way battle between him, Luffy, and the Galley-La foremen to end in a draw. Later on in the story, the group encounters the CP9 agency and are forced to reveal their second hideout, where Franky is hidden. When Franky is kidnapped, the Franky Family forms an alliance with the Straw Hat Pirates (who are chasing after Nico Robin), in order to rescue him. This turns out to be a wise move as once on Enies Lobby, the Judicial Island, the Frankies help fight off the countless naval marines and government agents that come after them. Their King Bulls, Sodom and Gomorrah, prove instrumental in helping them make their way across the island to the entrance to the main island. Currently they are rushing to escape Enies Lobby before they are annihilated by the Buster Call, while Franky himself is helping Nico Robin securing an escape ship for the Strawhats. The Galley-La foremen, Franky Family, Oimo, and Kaashii have reached the Main Gate only to be attacked by three Buster Call ships there. The Marines have announced that they are all dead, but they actually survived, with Oimo and Kaashii blocking the blunt of the assault, while Paulie prevent them from falling into the bottom of the waterfall with a web formed by his unbreakable rope. They are last seen leaving Enies Lobby by the Sea Train with the Galley-La shipwrights.

Two days later after the Enies Lobby incident, the Franky Family are seen rebuilding the Franky house. Sodom and Gomorah are seen recovering from their injuries. Later they discover that their actions at Enies Lobby have been overlooked by the World Government (most likely due to Aokiji pulling some strings). However, Franky, they discover, was not so lucky, and has been given a bounty of 44 million Berries. They immediately rush to the Straw Hat Pirates to show them their new bounties as well as Franky's and ask them to take him with them as he is a wanted man and it is too dangerous for him to stay at Water 7. They also inform them that Franky is the son of a pirate.
