Armstrong held the position of executive vice president of Ellis Mills of Pottstown and director and secretary of the Wilmar Realty Corp. in Pottstown, both in Pennsylvania.
Armstrong served on the board of directors of the former Andrew W, Wood Co., the former Vandot Realty, the former Aero Vac Corp., Capital City Travelers Aid, Schenectady Museum, Schenectady County Child Guidance Center, Western Gateway Broadcasting Co., and served as past president and on the board of directors of the Industrial Development Council.
