In 1976, the West Hollywood location was purchased by Ron Herman. The location rapidly became a retail landmark and celebrity mecca. Other Ron Herman stores were opened in Brentwood in 1988, Beverly Hills in 1998, Costa Mesa in 2002, and Malibu in 2004. Each store is an ever-changing environment, where the people, music, displays, and merchandise all combine to create a unique and stimulating shopping experience. Ron Herman at the Fred Segal center employs young and influential buyers (including Nina Garduno, John Eshaya, Brett Brooks, and Brian Kaneda), many of whom run their own well-known clothing labels.
