Nye Fredrikstad Stadion (New Fredrikstad Stadium) is a multi-use/football stadium in the Norwegian city of Fredrikstad. It is the home of the Norwegian Premier League side Fredrikstad FK. It's located in an area which formerly used to be a large shipyard (locally known as Værste or FMV), but which nowadays is the technological centre of the city, with several companies and a university. The frontage of the stadium is built to replicate the original halls of the work shop. This makes it architecturally very unique. The Stadium was built to replace the old Fredrikstad Stadion, which was considered to be one of the eldest and most worn-out stadium in the country. The total capacity is appr. 12,500, all seated. There is a possibility to expand it furthermore, to some 15,000 seats. 2007 (MMVII) is the current year, a common year starting on Monday of the Gregorian calendar and the Anno Domini (common) era. ...
