106 & Park: BET's Top Ten Live

Free started hosting the 106 & Park in 2001 alongside AJ Calloway. After hosting the show for four years, Free left the show after a contract ran out. No new agreement could not reach due the disputes with the BET executives. She was originally brought back to the BET family by executive Stephen Hill, who she met back in Boston working for an urban/gospel radio station WILD 1090 based in Roxbury. 106 & Park: BETs Top 10 Live is a top-ten video countdown that has aired every weekday on BET since 2000 and is the networks #1 rated show. ... Music Career

During her time with 106 & Park, Free signed to Elektra records. She wrote tracks for her upcoming album but the record label Elektra went belly up. She was then put into production with Motown Records, where Sylvia Rhine (former owner of Elektra) led her. Free did not feel that this was the right label for her, so she left and signed to Underground Universe records. Free and Sylvia still remain good friends. She later shop her album to Def Jam Records. She was in the process of being signed, but due to pregancy rumors involving CEO Shawn Jay-Z Carter nothing came of the deal. In 2004, Free released a first mixtape called "Free's World" which was sponsored by Dj Enuff and Kast One. In 2007, Free signed to Murder Inc. record label. Free has been working on her new album with is rumored to be called "Pressure Free". Motown Records, Inc. ...
