Fremont is a town located in Clark County in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. As of the 2000 census, the town had a total population of 1,190. There is also another Town of Fremont in Waupaca County.

Geography

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 91.3 km² (35.2 mi²). 91.3 km² (35.2 mi²) of it is land and none of the area is covered with water.

Demographics

As of the census² of 2000, there are 1,190 people, 374 households, and 308 families residing in the town. The population density is 13.0/km² (33.8/mi²). There are 393 housing units at an average density of 4.3/km² (11.2/mi²). The racial makeup of the town is 98.07% White, 0.00% African American, 0.08% Native American, 0.92% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.42% from other races, and 0.50% from two or more races. 1.43% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 374 households out of which 46.5% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 72.7% are married couples living together, 5.6% have a female householder with no husband present, and 17.4% are non-families. 13.9% of all households are made up of individuals and 6.7% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 3.18 and the average family size is 3.52.

In the town the population is spread out with 33.4% under the age of 18, 10.7% from 18 to 24, 28.7% from 25 to 44, 18.7% from 45 to 64, and 8.6% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 30 years. For every 100 females there are 108.0 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 101.3 males.
