Friedrich Fromm (October 8, 1888 - 1945) was a Germanarmy officer, best known as the main person responsible for the executions of the conspirators to assassinateAdolf Hitler. It is even believed that he had connections with them. After serving as a lieutenant during the First World War, he became chief of armaments and head of the defense of Berlin, a position he occupied for most of the Second World War. In 1944, he became involved in the July Plot. He ordered the execution of several conspirators, but his own ambiguous role lead to his own execution in 1945.
