He has been generally accepted as having reigned in Surrey probably from Chertsey between 666-675. Nothing is known of his life apart that he was baptised in 675 and had a son named Frithuric (aka Friþuric) who probably succeeded him. In the 8th century, his kingdom was brought under direct Mercian rule and it is thought that then this royal line came to an end.
