I have seen numerous Fujinon lenses from this same time period, and only one (a 150mm F6.3) was actually labeled with the S suffix on the lens.
In the Fujinon Professional Lenses brochures from April, 1981 and March, 1982, the column for this lens in the spec table is shaded green - indicating that it is EBC multicoated.
However, I suspect this may be an error (the Fujinon literature from this period is wrought with errors and inconsistencies).
