Future Century (F.C.) is an alternate Gundam timeline used in the fictional universe of G Gundam. Gundam ) is one of the longest running series of anime featuring giant robots or mecha. ... In G Gundam, the ruling elites leave Earth for space colonies in the first year of Future Century. Two years after the migration, a full-scale war develops on Earth as each nation fought to gain control. The colonies formed the United Colonies Federation and regains control of the nations on Earth. The United Colnies Federation decides to end the conflict on Earth by holding a tournament called Gundam Fight every four years. The nation represented by the winning Gundam earns the right to lead Earth and the colonies for the next four years.


G Gundam takes place in F.C.60 during the 13th Gundam Fight, a time led by Neo Hong Kong, the winner of the 12th Gundam Fight.

The space colonies are created while Earth's population surpasses 10 billion.

The ruling and upper classes migrate to the space colonies, leaving behind approximately 40% of Earth's inhabitants. The colonies begin construction on mobile suits.

War breaks out in various regions of Earth, reaching nuclear threat. The United Colonies Federation is formed to regain control of Earth.

The colonies regain control of the nations of earth. The race for arms begins as colonies develope more advanced mosbile suits in order to take control of the colonies.

Professor E.C. Ducer proposes the idea of the Gundam Fight as a means to decide the leader of the colonies. The proposal is approved, and the colonies each launch a Gundam development program.
