The Futuroscope wanted to build a theme park in China. In October 1994, Shenzhen of China and Vienne of France became “Friendship Sister Cities” through the efforts of Mr. Rene Monory who was then the President of the Senate of France and the Chairman of the Vienne Department Council. The project was proposed to Shenzhen then. In 1997, the Futuroscope’s architect Denis Laming went to Shenzhen to promote this project again. In 2003, the project was approved by Shenzhen Municipal Government. It is under a joint venture with Shenzhen Tourism Group with an investment of 500 million RMB.
The Parc du Futuroscope is a theme park based upon multimedia and cinematographic and audio-visual techniques of the future.
The pavillons of Futuroscope challenge the laws of architecture lead by architect Denis Laming.
the pavillons of Futuroscope are mainly made up of metal and glass, of the modern materials which give to the buildings forms, simple or complex textures, as of true works of art that make the observer stand and stare.
Futuroscope is a large, unique, well-kept theme park presenting different forms of high-technology films and other visual technologies, such as computer games and the Internet.
The Futuroscope management is aware of the problem and is working to track down the origin of the specks and eliminate the problem.
Futuroscope and most of the hotels have English-speaking staff, and often there are also speakers of other European languages.
