GE Capital Bank is part of General Electric, based in Stockholm, Sweden.


It is a leading provider consumer finance products in Norway with more than 300,000 clients and lending of NOK 5 billion, only second to the major domestic bank DnBNOR.


They are the second bank in Norway to offer US style credit cards, GE MasterCard, after Bankia Bank ASA. Such cards have led to additional market growth. Since such cards were launched in June 2001, the market has by year-end 2003 increased to more than 100,000 US style credit cards.
