The GLOCK 38 is a pistol designed by GLOCK and released originally in the United States. It is the first weapon to use GLOCK's newly designed .45 GAP ammunition. The .45 GAP ammunition was designed by GLOCK to have the same performance as .45 ACP ammunition but with a shorter case length to fit into smaller framed pistols. In law enforcement and self-defense, its large caliber is intended to offer superior single shot stopping power, while it retains a smaller frame for easier concealed carry. It was the intention of GLOCK to create a "big bore" pistol in a frame that was the same size as the popular 9mm GLOCK 19. The .45 GAP bullet is shorter than the 9mm, so fitting the bullets in the magaine well made for a 9mm was possible. The biggest appeal of this weapon is getting the famous .45 caliber power in a package usualy reserved for the 9mm. Image File history File links G38. ...
