History

Since it was founded in 1991, the GMA Kapuso Foundation has been touching the lives of communities everywhere. Its projects help uplift the life of countless beneficiaries.

Implemented singly or in partnership with other agencies, the foundation's thrusts are focused on helping and supporting impoverished families, needy children, calamity victims, prisoners and ex-prisoners, aspiring singers and songwriters, including dependents of GMA employees.

About GMA Kapuso Foundation

GMA Kapuso Foundation's vision is to bring GMA to every home... and GMA Kapuso Foundation to every heart. Its mission is to give hope and a future to the Filipino family. Primarily by safe-guarding human rights, upgrading the standards of education, and by reducing the effects of poverty.

A program that protects basic rights is "Give A Gift: Alay sa Batang Pinoy" (child's right to play). Partnerships that protect rights are with " Habitat for humanity" (mans right to shelter), "Tabang Mindanaw" and "Piso for Peace unity and Progress" (man's right to live in peace).

Programs in health, livelihood, medical, and disaster relief continue through Besiege Bayonne, "Kalusugan Karavan", operation "Bayanihan", "AIDS awareness", and the emergency Assistance Fund."

Programs that promote literacy and education are "Donate A Book" and the "Merit Scholarships."
