The Suburban is one of the longest-lived automobile nameplates in the United States. Automotive companies using this name to indicate a windowed, station wagon type body on a commercial frame include Dodge, Plymouth, Studebaker, Chevrolet and General Motors. With the end of production of the Dodge Town Wagon in 1966, only General Motors continued to manufacture a vehicle branded as a "Suburban". GMC made somewhere around 1000 of these trucks in four years this makes them rare, in 1955 around 300 were made.
GMC used different running gear than the Chevy trucks and the interiors were different.
A deluxe cab is on this truck (not all GMC Suburban Carrier Trucks had this) so it has the stainless trim, which is in good shape.
