Gabinius was also a king of the German tribute of the Quadi, who was murdered by Valentinian I around 374.


A fictional Cnaeus Gabinius Capito [sic] of Roman Britain is mentioned as an ancestor of Lord Northam in the H. P. Lovecraft story "The Descendant".

Aulus Gabinius, Roman statesman and general, and supporter of Pompey, was a prominent figure in the later days of the Roman Republic.
