History

The airline is privately owned and its maiden flight was expected in January 2007 from Libreville to Paris. On 8 November 2006 the Gabonese transport minister granted Gabon Airlines official permission to operate flights in the country. The airline's Director is Christian Bongo Ondimba, one of President Omar Bongo's sons.
