Gale Anne Hurd (b. 25 October 1955) was James Cameron's first wife (married 1985–1989). She was the daughter of a wealthy Los Angeles businessman and grew up in Palm Springs. Hurd formed her own production company, Pacific Western Productions, in 1982. She produced many box-office hits, including The Terminator (1984), Aliens (1986), and The Abyss (1989).
