The Galician SSR was established and managed by the Galician Revolutionary Committee (Galrevkom), a Revolutionary Committee created under the patronage of the Soviet Russia. It was seated in Tarnopol in East Galicia, its presient was Vladimir Zatonsky (Volodymyr Zatonsky).
