The clubs best league finish to date was runners up to Shamrock Rovers in 1985-86. By doing so they controversially beat Dundalk F.C. and Waterford United F.C. to the Premier Division spot. Four players were chosen in the First Division team of the year (Raffael Cretaro, Ciaran Foley, Conor Gethins & Derek O'Brien). In July 2007, the new 1,500 seater stand at Terryland Park was opened, increasing the seated capacity to 2,900.[1] The Tribes of Galway were fourteen merchant families who dominated the political commercial and social life in the town of Galway between the 13th and 16th centuries. ...
