A gang bang is a situation in which one individual, either a man or a woman, has sexual intercourse with multiple men simultaneously. When a man has sex with several women, it is usually known as a reverse gang bang. The term was once considered an offensive taboo word, but is deemed less so today, to the extent that the word is sometimes used by news bulletins.
The term originally applied to gang rapes, and also appeared in pornography, but in recent years it has also been applied occasionally to actual consensual sexual behavior. It exists as a specialized form of group sex, and sometimes figures in sexual fantasy.
