We compared molecular genetic markers of silver carp among populations of the Changjiang River, the GanjiangRiver and the Poyang Lake using the ND5/6 region of mtDNA.
Frequencies of bands peculiar to the GanjiangRiver population are the same as in the Poyang Lake population.
