"The Gap Girls" was a recurring sketch on Saturday Night Live with Adam Sandler (Lucy) and David Spade (Christie Anderson) as two teenage girls who work at the GAP. Their manager, Cindy (Chris Farley), appears randomly. Their answer to a customer's fashion dilemma, no matter what, was "just cinch it!" – tighten the belt – which became the skit's catchphrase. Saturday Night Live (SNL) is a weekly late night 90-minute American comedy-variety show based in New York City which has been broadcast by NBC on Saturday nights since October 11, 1975. ... Adam Richard Sandler (born September 9, 1966) is an American-Jewish actor, comedian, producer, and musician (he sings and plays the guitary). ... David Wayne Spade (born July 22, 1964) is an Emmy and Golden Globe-nominated American actor, comedian and producer. ... Gap (NYSE: GPS) is a San Francisco-based apparel and accessories retailer founded in 1969 by Donald Fisher and Doris Fisher. ... Christopher Crosby Farley (February 15, 1964 – December 18, 1997) was an American actor and comedian. ...


There was also a skit that involved the late Chris Farley as the "fat" Gap Girl, Cindy Crawford (not to be confused with the supermodel). He had the famous line, cutting from the Gap Girl effeminate sounding voice into a scarier baritone, "LAY OFF ME, I'M STARVING!" This was in response to the other Gap Girls intimating that Chris Farley's character should stop eating so many fries since "she" is on a diet. Christopher Crosby Farley (February 15, 1964 – December 18, 1997) was an American actor and comedian. ...


In later sketches, it was revealed that Christie had a one-night stand with Scott Baio and had an abusive boyfriend, "that a-hole Paul", and that Cindy later left The Gap in favor of working at a coffeehouse called Jitters. Scott Baio as Chachi on Happy Days in the 1970s. ...
