Garachico is a municipality in the northwestern part of the island of Tenerife, one of the Canary Islands, and part of the province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife. It is located about 85 km SSW of the island's capital, NW of Los Cristianos and Las Américas of Arona and about 65 km NNW of Reina Sofia Airport. Garachico is linked north of the TF1 superhighway and is linked with a highway linking Adeje and Icod de los Vinos and west of the TF2 superhighway and also near the highway linking Adeje and Icod de los Vinos. Farmlands are in the valley areas and within the Atlantic, the mountain and the hills are surround El Tanque.


The main economy are agriculture. A beach and a port is located north of the town hall of Garachico

Garachico is a very picturesque village resort on the Northern coast of Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain, to the west of Puerto de la Cruz.
At one time Garachico was the main port for the island, important for exporting wine until the harbour was partially blocked by lava in a volcanic flow in 1706.
Garachico's Volcanic Rock pools were formed when the lava flow of 1706 blocked off the harbour.
