Wales back-up scrumhalf Gareth Cooper was ruled out on Tuesday of Sunday's Six Nations rugby union international against Scotland at Murrayfield because of an ankle injury.
Cooper was forced to leave the field at Twickenham in the tsunami benefit match last weekend after sustaining the injury.
"Gareth suffered a rotational strain to his right ankle and we now know the injury is sufficiently serious to rule him out of contention this weekend and possibly the week after," said Wales team physiotherapist Mark Davies.
