Garfield has a small primary school, with around 100 children in it. The handsome principle Of Garfield Primary School is Mr.O'Brien. This school has a buddy program in which Prep children settle in the school with the help of a grade six, or sometimes grade 5. Up the top of the school is a church, and a few blocks up from the school, is a kindergarten, many of the children from there go to Garfield Primary School, the schools motto is "Care to Learn, Learn to Care". The town has a few shops which include a milk bar, newsagents, ANZ bank, pub and a bakery. There is also a Hippy shop, an antique store and a bed and breakfast. Garfields population would be around 1000 people. Garfield has broadband conected meaning you can access this and be on the phone! The best aspect of this town is up near cannibal creek, is a rock, known as Bum Rock, because it has a slight resembalence to a buttox. The town is situated between Bunyip and NarNarGoon. It has not got a very big population but is a very close-knit community, in which most people know each other. |
