Gary Edward Gentry (Born October 6, 1946) was a major league baseball player. He played on 7 seasons on 2 different teams between 1969 and 1975.


Gentry was born in 1946 in Phoenix, Arizona. He went to Arizona State University. He entered his baseball career at age 23 in 1969. He played on the New York Mets and the Atlanta Braves. His November 1972 trade to Atlanta, Georgia was followed by a ruinous elbow injury. He played his last game on May 6, 1975 and was released by the New York Mets on June 19. During his 7-year career, his pitching record was 46 wins and 49 losses .
