He was trained as a pianist at Juilliard, but is primarily noted as the director of situation comedies such as Friends. He also directed The Adventures of Elmo in Grouchland (1999), a children's film. He began his career by directing a music show for Leonard Bernstein. The Juilliard School is a performing arts conservatory in New York City, informally identified as simply Juilliard, and most famous for its musically trained alumni. ...
