Gary Jones was a member of the improv group "mission improvable" which had a CBC comedy special prior to his role on Star Gate SG-1. Gary Jones joined Toronto's Second City Improv Company in the mid 80s. Together with Second City he came over to Vancouver in 1986 for the Expo. For six month, there were improv shows at the Expo's Flying Club. After the expo was finished, Jones stayed in Vancouver and started his acting career with guest appearances in TV shows like "Wiseguy", "Airwolf" and "Dangerbay". He was also a player of the Vancouver TheatreSports League. Gary Jones is not only well known for acting (screen and stage) but also for event hosting, f.e. several Leo awards galas, BCSS Emerald Eve gala or most recently the 1-800-got-junk gala.
