Gaslight Radio is Australian guitar pop band, originally from Brisbane and now based in Melbourne. The band was founded by two brothers, Martin and Rory Cooke, in their home town of Burleigh Heads on Queensland's Gold Coast.

Early reviews compared the Gaslight Radio sound to that of the Pixies, due to their use of cascading guitars and dizzying counter-melodies.
Rudy Count the Starfish was regularly played on Triple J. Gaslight Radio's long-awaited second album, Z-Nation was released on Love & Mercy in August 2003.

Although bouncing around with excitement, we were all forced to control ourselves, for a while at least, while Gaslight Radio took to the stage.
Gaslight Radio was also most likely a poor choice for the position, finding themselves unable to involve or wind up the audience, who at the most managed to end up agitated.
But Gaslight Radio were soon gone and, feeling a little sorry for them, the audience tittered a weak round of hard-earned applause, but our hearts weren't really in it.
